What's New? August 2010
I had a great time in D.C. at the ALA conference! Highlights: Meeting the other Poetry Princesses, 2 great signings with Capstone, & the Poetry Blast! You can see pix, and here's a series of blog posts called ALA 101: Tips for Unknown Writers.
Here’s my latest news:
* Wrote three found poems for submission for an anthology. I had a lot of fun working on them!
* My two latest Capstone books are out: Y Is for Yak: A Zoo Alphabet and J Is for Jingle Bell: A Christmas alphabet. They are so cute—Capstone did a great job with the art/design.
* Clarion passed on a ms. they’d had almost 3 years. I'm bummed, BUT hopeful for a project my editor and I both love.
* Working on a book about using photos to inspire/deepen poetry.
* Fingers crossed about a ms. another editor’s considering.
* Making plans for the Kidlit Con in October here in Mpls!
Hope you’re having an easy, breezy summer!
