I’m excited to share that I finally have returned a signed contract for a book that Millbrook Press is going to publish in spring 2012. It’s a very short rhyming nonfiction book about leaves, and I’m so glad it’s found a home, especially with an editor I’m really looking forward to working with.
The acquisitions meeting was in late September, and it took four months to hammer out terms and get a contract in hand. And then it took me a couple of weeks to fill out the extremely comprehensive author information packet to return along with the contract. I never fully believe any book will be published until I’m holding the first copy in my hand, but Leaf is on its way. Yay!
