I’m Nerdy!

WATER CAN BE… was named a Nerdy Book Award winner in the Poetry category. Woohoo! This means a lot, not only because of the way these awards are chosen, but also because of the fabulous other Poetry winners.

This was also a big surprise. I had thought that WATER, if it got any votes at all, it would be in the Nonfiction category. So when that announcement came and went, I allowed myself a brief wallow in disappointment, balanced by a celebration of many books I admire making it onto that list. That made the Poetry announcements on New Year’s Eve day all the sweeter.

Thank you, all you Nerdy readers. And if you haven’t already, make sure you check out the Nerdy winners in all of the categories that you read. You’re sure to find some favorites and some delightful new-to-you books!
