Happy Poetry Friday! Welcome, everyone! (Wondering what Poetry Friday is? Click here.)
Well, I dropped the ball on this one. This month, we Poetry Princesses wrote a mask poem. This one was MY choice! And yet, I didn’t get to it until this week. It’s funny how we schedule things in the future, picturing them happening one way, and then life decides differently!
Anyhow, a mask poem from the point of view of an everyday object was the brief I came up with. I wanted to write from fog’s point of view, but that wasn’t an everyday object. So, I looked around the living room and came up with lamp!
As you can see, the graphic’s a bit clunky. But I did have fun imagining myself as a floor lamp, wanting to be useful, wanting to be needed. I’ve only seen sneak peeks at a few of my Poetry Sisters’ poems, but you guys are in for a treat!
