Happy Poetry Friday! (Wondering what Poetry Friday is? Click here.)
My sister Patty is visiting this week, and I am SO excited! I haven’t seen her in almost two years! But I really am trying to get back into my PF routine, so I got this post ready before she arrived :>)
I borrowed a clunker line from Linda Mitchell a couple of weeks ago. I loved the line, and images and stories started forming in my mind immediately. During a small group writing time last week, I took the line and wrote a free verse poem, a phrase acrostic, and 2 different cinquains, all containing “The moon has stayed out late again.” Thank you, Linda! Here’s one of the cinquains.
And for lots of wonderful poetry, don’t miss the Poetry Friday Roundup with Margaret, who I hope is relaxing on her well-earned summer break!
