My Thanksgiving went MUCH better than expected yesterday, and we all had a really fun day. Yea!
I wanted to find a poem that had a surprise in it for today, since yesterday was a lovely surprise, and I wanted it to be a kids’ poem. In one of my favorite collections, Earthshake: Poems from the Ground Up, by Lisa Westberg Peters, I came across this poem.

I love this poem and its reminder that with an open mind and a healthy sense of play, we can discover palm trees in our pockets.
